Clint,
The information on implimenting an email campaign is wonderful, and I am working on gathering my addresses. I ran across an article by "Jon Swartz in USA TODAY"...that is somewhat disconserting. The title of the article is "AOL to charge fee as a way to cut spam"

Here is an exerp "America Online will begin charging businesses to send commercial email to its users in the first wide-scale use of authenticated email to reduce spam. But some marketers affected by the plan, set to start in several weeks, call it email taxation designed to create a new stream of revenue for AOL."

Yohoo also plans to test AOl's plann. It looks to me as though if we do not sign up for this there is no guarantee that our email news letters will get through their system once this is fully implimented.

The article also states"...Consumers , meanwhile, may discover that some commercial email they previously received, and wanted, no lopnger arrives if advertisers opt not to pay AOL, some email marketers warn. Email users would need to retrieve them from a spam folder.

Clint, do you know anything about this article in USA TODAY? Do you expect it to empact the email marketing that we are setting up? THANKS, MARSHA

Thanks for the email campaign information. People I have emailed have responded positively even if they have not purchased a painting. I am adding new clients and hopefully more exposure. The networking is enormous and the potential client list is long. You are correct in stating our circle of friends are a good beginning. Most of my sales have been to friends and their friends.
Let's keep pushing the envelope.
